Lawyer

Duties and Responsibilities

Handle all legal activities in terms of court proceeding including criminal, civil, labor, bankruptcy, and juvenile court.

Gather legal information and documentations needed for legal cases and hearings and also research or analyze points raised.

Draft, prepare, review and file court and legal documents, agreements.

Liaise between authorities or related third parties.

Provide legal advice to clients

Identifying business risks making appropriate recommendations to senior firm personnel.

leading contract negotiations in English and in Thai in meetings with clients and their advisors.

Development of cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports.

Coordinate and liaise with external law firms regarding litigations, civil case, and labor case including follow up and report the progress of all litigation cases.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Master’s degree would be preferred. Is a member of the Thai Bar Association.

Work Experience

At least 3-4 years of working experience in a corporate legal environment.

Legal Drafting

Leading the junior lawyers in handling various drafting tasks, inclusive of quarterly/annual report drafting, proxy statement development etc.; preparing various complex contracts as well as developing and documenting standard terms and conditions for the firm’s clients.

Law and Government

Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules

Administration and Management

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Clerical

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

English Language

Upper intermediate proficiency of the English Language, as well as fluency in Thai language is a must.

Customer and Personal Service

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Skills

Must able to work independently and under pressure and to demonstrate a practical and commercial approach to resolving business issues.
